Montenegro car rental conditions

These country rental conditions apply alongside the conditions shown for your chosen car and the rental agreement with the rental agent. Booking and cancellation conditions are separate.

The minimum chargeable rental period is 24 hours. It means that if you rent a car for a few hours, you will be charged for a full day. For example, if you need a car from Monday morning to Tuesday afternoon, you will be charged for two full days.
If you want to extend your rental period, you must inform the rental agent in advance.
You must return your rental car with the same level of fuel you picked it up with. If the level of fuel is lower, you pay the difference at the rates of car rental company. If the level of fuel is higher, you are not compensated for the difference.
If the car is returned so dirty that it hinders its inspection, the car will be washed at the customer's expense.
Standard insurance does not cover damages to wheels, undercarriage, windscreen, and interior of the car.
In case of an insured event, you must immediately notify the rental agent and receive a police report, except as otherwise agreed with the agent. Failure to fulfil these conditions will cancel the insurance issued for the car and make you fully responsible.
The insurance is invalid in the event of deliberate damage to the car caused by intentional vandalism or neglect.
Rental cars are allowed to travel only on paved public roads.
If you plan to travel outside the country, please notify the rental agent in advance to complete the required documents.
The contact phone number with the correct country code provided at the time of booking must be available throughout the car rental period and on the day before pick-up. We do not accept any service quality claims, if it was impossible to contact the renter by mobile phone or messengers (Viber / WhatsApp / Telegram).
The payment for fuel, parking, fines, and toll roads is the responsibility of the renter.
The driver’s minimum age and driving experience are listed on each car’s page. These requirements may vary even for similar models. The rental agent has the right to refuse to provide the service at any time if the driver’s age and/or driving experience does not meet the requirements for a particular car. Please use the filters to find cars that match your criteria.
To rent a car, you must have a valid national driver’s license with details duplicated in Latin script. The expiry date on the license must be no earlier than the end date of the rental period. Copies or electronic licenses are not accepted. If your driver’s license is only valid in the country of issuance, we strongly recommend including an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your documents and providing it upon request.
Renting a car may require a mandatory physical embossed credit card in the name of the main driver. If a credit card is required, ensure that you have it with you when picking up the car. In some cases, rental companies may accept debit cards, which will also be specified during booking and in your voucher. The debit card must also be a physical, personalized card with embossed details and issued in the name of the main driver. Ensure that you have the card with you when picking up the car.
Only small pets may travel in rented cars and should be kept in their travel carriers at all times.

Rental cars may be driven only on paved public roads.

Prices displayed on our website are provided in real-time by our booking partner and are subject to change. The final price is confirmed at the time of booking. All prices include VAT and mandatory insurance unless otherwise stated.

Who is my rental contract with, you or the car company?

With the rental company. We list cars supplied by local rental firms in Montenegro and handle the booking side, but the rental agreement itself is between you and that supplier and is signed when you collect the car. That agreement, along with the supplier's own terms, governs the vehicle, the cover and the deposit.

So what are you responsible for?

For presenting the cars and conditions accurately, for passing your booking to the supplier correctly, and for helping you sort out problems with the booking itself. What happens with the vehicle, the cover, the fuel policy and the deposit is the supplier's side of the arrangement. If something has gone wrong with the booking, email us and we will take it up.

How do I cancel or change a booking?

The standard cancellation deadline is 7 days before pickup, or 30 days for luxury cars and convertibles. The Free cancellation option shortens this to 24 hours. A payment-service fee of 6% of the amount paid is retained. Check the selected offer and your confirmation before cancelling.

How and when do I pay?

Payment and deposit requirements depend on the selected car. Check the listing and booking voucher for the amount and accepted methods. A physical credit card in the main driver’s name may be required; debit cards or cash are accepted only where specified. No-credit-card and no-deposit options must be confirmed for your chosen offer.

What do I need to bring to collect the car?

Your driving licence, your ID or passport, and your booking confirmation. Any additional requirement, such as how long you must have held the licence or a minimum driver age, is set by the supplier and is shown on your booking. Read those conditions before you travel, because the supplier can refuse the car if they are not met.

Something went wrong with the car. Who do I complain to?

Anything involving the vehicle, damage, the deposit or a charge added at pickup is between you and the supplier, and it is best raised with them at the time rather than after you have flown home. If the problem is with the booking we sent through, email us with your reference and the details. We contact you by email, as that is the only support channel this site offers.
