About Podgorica Airport (TGD)
Podgorica Airport, IATA code TGD, is Montenegro's largest airport by passenger volume. It sits roughly 11 km south of Podgorica city centre, a straightforward 15-minute drive on the M-2.4. Regular scheduled flights connect it to over 25 European cities year-round, and seasonal flights expand the network in summer.
Along with Podgorica city, TGD is the main gateway for visitors heading to Montenegro's interior — the mountain national parks, monasteries and lakes that are closer to the capital than to the coast.
How pickup works
When your flight lands, head to the arrivals hall. Our representative meets you inside the terminal with a sign bearing your name. The car is parked in the terminal lot, a few minutes' walk from arrivals. Typical time from landing to driving off: 15 minutes.
Drop-off on return is equally quick. Return the car to the same terminal lot, hand over the keys, and you're inside the terminal for check-in in under ten minutes.

The airport is genuinely well-positioned for exploring the country. A few practical drive times:

- Žabljak / Tara Canyon — 3 hours
- Shkodër, Albania — 1 hour 30 minutes (via Božaj border)

Practical tips
- Currency: Montenegro uses the euro. ATMs in the arrivals hall.
- SIM: Local SIMs sold at the small shop in arrivals. Mtel and M:tel have good coverage throughout the country.
- Fuel: The nearest station is 2 km from the airport — the tank may be less than full on pickup but we always start on a clear margin.
- Late arrivals: We meet every scheduled flight, including late-night arrivals. No surcharge.
